History

The Canada-UK Chamber of Commerce was established over 94 years ago.

In 1921 Canadian businessmen and women established ‘the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain’ with the objective to co-ordinate the activities of Canadian companies based in the UK and Canadian exporters to the UK.

In 1927 the Chamber was incorporated as a UK company and in 1970 the Chamber changed its name to ‘Canada-United Kingdom Chamber of Commerce’. Its objectives were broadened to include working for the interests of companies from both sides of the Atlantic, whether for exporters, importers, inward or outward investors.
