Workshop Overview

This is a great opportunity for Chamber members to polish up their media interview skills in a crisis situation, in a completely confidential setting.

  • The format of the Crisis Media Interviews Workshop will be expert briefing and discussion followed by practical exercises with individual crisis media interviews as for real for each course participant.
  • Session 1 will include advice on handling the broadcast media and a TV ‘crisis’ interview – standing up  - with one course participant. This will be followed by viewing of the interview and constructive advice and briefing by the trainer on how to prepare and deliver effective TV interviews during a crisis.
  • Session 2 will include interviews on ‘crisis’ topics with all remaining attendees, followed by reviews. Each interview will be thoroughly researched before the training course and will be reviewed during the course with individual constructive expert analysis and advice. Interview content can be either related specifically to the participant’s business or to the Chamber.

Who should attend this workshop?

As a senior manager or spokesperson, you are highly likely to appear on camera, either in the media, or in an electronic communication to your employees.

Training Aims

  • To enable course participants to prepare and deliver effective TV Interviews in a crisis situation and present a professional Image for their own businesses
  • To enable course participants to handle difficult and unexpected questions effectively and professionally even in challenging circumstances
