‘The Canada-UK Chamber of Commerce congratulates Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on his success following a hard fought 43rd Federal Election in Canada.

Our two countries share a long history, common values and a pro-business culture.

The trading partnership between Canada and the UK has been positive for both economies and we look forward to deepening our relationship, increasing collaboration, and creating significant opportunities for future growth.

We have a fantastic platform to build upon. Bilateral trade between the two countries is worth over £17 billion a year with a significant presence for Canadian investors in the UK and a growing number of UK companies interested in expansion into Canada.

The UK remains Canada’s largest European trading partner with close investment links across all sectors of the economy from financial services to technology and innovation.’
