Our enewsletter this edition focuses on International Trade including news articles about Canada's Minister Ng's Trade Mission to the UK, Toronto Mayor Tory's grants for small businesses, UK Foreign Secretary visits to Canada and the USA, an EDC article about their Trade Confidence Index, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak merging UK trade and business departments, an uplifiting article about how the UK is likely to avoid recession, news on the CPTPP and more.
A warm Chamber welcome this month to our newest members: Brookfield (upgrading to Charter members) and 1718 who create bespoke furniture of distinction.
Our event programme is already busy with upcoming events: Feb 16 Quick tips for maximising your investment in exhibitions Webinar (online); Feb 20 Reception with Mayor Tory at Canada House (in person); Feb 23 ‘Power and Prediction: The Disruptive Economics of Artificial Intelligence’ with Prof. Avi Goldfarb from Rotman School of Management & others at Canada House (in person);and 7 March the annual Wine, Beer & Spirits Tasting night at Draper's Hall, London (in person).
This year we have launched our 14th and newest forum with a focus on AgriFood and we are already talking to Regina Economic Development about an event later this year.
Many of our events come from Member suggestions, so keep them coming, especially as we consider ideas for our 2023 Event Programme in person and online.
