Tara Cowling

Tara Cowling founded Medlior Health Outcomes Research Ltd. in 2008 with a focus on providing valuable insights to health outcomes research projects through rigorous

methodologies. With over 20 years of experience in both the public sector and industry, Tara has held roles at Alberta Health Services, AstraZeneca UK, Wyeth UK, and IQVIA UK, and began her career as a Research Fellow at the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) in London.

Tara holds an MSc from McMaster University’s Faculty of Medicine, Department ofNeuroscience and Psychiatry, and a BA/MA in Physiological Sciences from Balliol College,

University of Oxford. She is an active member of the Women’s President’s Organization (WPO), Healthcare Businesswomen’s Organization (HBA), and the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR). Tara also serves on the Health Canada - Canada's Drug Agency RWE Steering Committee, is a board member of BioAlberta, and co-founder of the TOWWERS Institute, a nonprofit dedicated to generating real-world evidence to support value-based healthcare.
