James leads Marsh’s global advisory support to multinational clients, working to bring the very best expertise from across global consulting teams to support clients to address some of their most complex risk management challenges. James is also one of the principal architects of Marsh McLennan's market leading supply chain risk tool, Sentrisk™. He has worked extensively with organisations in a wide range of sectors both in the UK and globally.
He previously worked for PwC where he was responsible for building the firm’s enterprise resilience advisory services. He has also held Head Risk Management roles for the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority in the UK where he was responsible for the risk management of the UK’s fleet of nuclear transport ships and the BBC. In 2021, James published a book, Business Continuity Management, a practical guide to organizational resilience and ISO 22301. A second addition was published in 2024. Prior to his consulting experience, James worked for the UK Cabinet Office.
