Mark has been with Rolls-Royce for more than 25 years, undertaking a variety of engineering, programme and business development roles. He holds master’s degrees in both Physics and Engineering Business Management, with his early career spent in the Rolls-Royce corporate research team, developing emergent technology and working with research partners to exploit new ideas. This experience led to a move into the Submarines business in 2005 to establish the Nuclear University Technology Centres in Manchester and Imperial College. Shortly after this, the Dreadnought PWR3 reactor design was launched and Mark joined the programme as Assistant Chief Development Engineer. Subsequent roles have included new product introduction, Submarine refuel and leadership for major engineering programmes.
In his current role, Mark is accountable for all business development and programme delivery activities for Novel Nuclear and Special Projects, a new business venture tasked with securing a sizeable position in the Advanced Modular Reactor market.
