Geoffrey Olynyk

Director, Strategy and Business Development, New Nuclear Development, Ontario Power Generation

Geoff is the Director of Strategy and Business Development in OPG’s New Nuclear Development business unit, responsible for development of OPG’s nuclear strategy and leading business development for SMRs, industrial nuclear, and microreactors. Geoff has had a 20-year career in nuclear fission and fusion, emerging energy technologies and climate technology and decarbonization, with experience in investment strategy, business building, and new market entry. Prior to joining OPG, Geoff was an Associate Partner and Senior Expert in the Sustainability and Electric Power Practices of McKinsey & Company, a global consulting firm. Geoff has a B.Sc (Eng) in Engineering Physics from Queen’s University and a Ph.D in Nuclear Engineering from MIT
