Greg Thede

Greg joined Aecon Nuclear in January 2021 to lead Nuclear Strategy and Business Development, with a focus on medium- and long-term growth aligned with Aecon’s corporate objectives. In early 2022, he assumed additional responsibility for Business Services, including Engineering, Procurement, Proposals and Estimating. These functions support Aecon’s leadership in new nuclear development across North America and selected international markets, including large reactors and Small Modular Reactors (SMRs).

Over the past 19 years, Greg has held progressively senior roles in Supply Chain, Project Management, Commercial Strategy and Business Development within the nuclear industry, including positions at Bruce Power and Ontario Power Generation (OPG). Earlier in his career, he worked in manufacturing, defence and automotive, and has extensive international business experience building long-term strategic relationships. From 2005 to 2007, he lived in Germany, where he supported a strategic growth initiative for Volvo AB in Central Europe focused on supply chain development.

Greg holds a Mechanical Engineering Diploma from Fanshawe College in London, Ontario, and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
