Dear Members & Friends of the Chamber
This month we have already been event busy being involved in five events for our members and strategic partners, and were delighted that H.E. Ralph Goodale took time out of his busy schedule to meet with the Board and Charter members at Canada House in a 2nd annual breakfast briefing. This was an opportunity for a two-way dialogue on Canadian Federal bilateral priorities such - as the proposed new FTA between Canada and the UK - as well as a chance for corporate members to raise any current issues and concerns they have directly to Prime Minister Trudeau’s representative in the UK.
Our event programme is once again a full and busy one between now and the year end, and we hope to see many of you at Canada House on 26 Oct for our Member Engagement evening -a chance to hear from recently joined members as well as catch up with many others.
This edition we include some Education & Creative sector news with articles from many university sponsors of our upcoming 5th Canadian University Alumni Reception on 4 Oct. For more forthcoming Events, see below.
Recently we were delighted to welcome four new Directors to our Chamber Board and they are helping us co-chair some of our 14 Forums: Jaspreet Grewal (Health & Life Sciences), Stéphane Jalbert (Infrastructure & Property), Bob El-Hawary (Health & Life Sciences, Technology) and Katie Fedosenko (Sustainability, Energy, Resources). We wish them well in their endeavours and members seeking an introduction should email us at info@canada-uk.org For their impressive bios, please read more here and here.
Members have been contacted this summer about their corporate and personal profiles on our new website - for assistance setting up your Privacy Settings, do get in touch with us. You will need these set so you can contact other members direct.
We are currently working on our latest publications due out early 2024 which will feature Canadian commercial success stories in the UK, and UK success stories in Canada. To contribute and/or advertise, let us know and we can follow up.
Finally, we will shortly once again be reaching out to members in our Member Survey. We encourage you all to provide feedback, so we can adapt and deliver the services you need.
Thank you for your continued support.
